Version 0.3.8: fixes from the first logs

The program no longer mistakes a virtual COM port for a radio, sends a log extract by itself when a radio fails to connect, and the site signal now comes with consent and a switch.

Fixed after the first day with real users:

  • False radio. On computers with virtual port pairs (com0com and the like) the program "found" an old Yaesu where there was none and showed a frequency of 1.6 GHz. Virtual ports are now skipped by the automatic search, and a radio's answer must be plausible and repeat.
  • Logs by themselves. When your radio or sound device fails to connect, the program sends a short log extract to the site (at most once in half an hour), so the fault is seen and fixed before you have to write.
  • Consent and a switch. A consent tick at the end of the first-run setup, and a switch in the settings: "Tell ShackDeck.com the program is running".
  • The log records the frequency and mode when a session on your own radio starts.

It installs by itself where automatic updates are on.
