Download ShackDeck
Version 0.4.2, 20 October 2026. Choose your system:
Download for macOSShackDeck-0.4.2-macos.dmg · 12 MB
Install
- Open the DMG and drag ShackDeck to Applications.
- The build is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple: it opens like any other program, no warnings. If Chrome calls the download suspicious, it is only because the file is new: ⋮ → Keep.
- At the first start the program asks for your callsign and locator; then pick a receiver from the list.
Download for WindowsShackDeck_0.4.2_x64-setup.exe · 36 MB
Install
- Run the installer. It is signed by SERVA ONE LTD. If Edge says the file “isn't commonly downloaded”: … → Keep → Keep anyway; a new version has simply not been downloaded by many people yet.
- Smart App Control (new Windows 11 PCs) blocks unsigned programs: turn it off in Windows Security → App & browser control. Windows in S mode: leave S mode first (Settings → Activation).
- The installer adds WebView2 itself if it is missing. Then the program asks for your callsign and locator.

Download for AndroidShackDeck-0.1.0-beta.apk · 0.1.0 beta · 61 MB
What the phone does by itself, and what it does with the program
By itself the phone listens: online SDR receivers, its own FT8 decoder, the waterfall, the stations on the map. Paired with ShackDeck on a computer it becomes a remote for the whole program: your own radio, the logbook, and working stations by FT8 and by voice right from the phone. So the program goes on the computer first, then the phone joins it by a QR code.
Phone + the program on the computer everything
- Your own radio over CAT: the dial, the mode, the key, from the phone
- Working stations from the phone: FT8 and voice on SSB, AM, FM
- The logbook, the colours of wanted stations on the map
- And everything else the program has: WSPR, SSTV, fax, APRS, satellites, uploads to QRZ and LoTW
Phone only listening
- Online SDR receivers from all over the world
- Its own FT8 decoder, with flags and the map
- The waterfall with a spectrum
- No transmitting, no logbook: there is no radio and no log on a phone
How it is set up
- 1Install ShackDeck on the computer (macOS or Windows, above).
- 2Install the app on the phone from this page.
- 3In the program open the Remote tab and scan its QR code with the app. At home the phone talks to the program directly, on the road through shackdeck.com.
Install
- Open the APK on the phone. Android asks once to allow installing from this source: that is how every app outside Google Play is installed.
- Press Pair and scan the QR code from the program's Remote tab, or type the code by hand.
- No computer? Choose listening on its own and enter your callsign: online receivers, the FT8 decoder, the waterfall and the map work without the program.
